PURPOSE:
To consider approving the sale of surplus fire apparatus and/or loose fire equipment to local or state municipalities with Fire & Rescue Departments at the fair market value price, prior to being placed in the County Auction or disposed of by incineration or the County landfill.
NEED/IMPACT:
Currently surplus Fire Apparatus and/or loose Fire Equipment are either destroyed or offered for purchase through the County Auction. By providing an opportunity to various local or state municipalities first, these items can support the needs of various Fire and Rescue Departments.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No Cost to the County.
