PURPOSE:
In 2021, a $100K D6 ARP (2021-3546) was approved by the BOC to assist with funding for skill training for the un/under employed needs of our Refugee community perhaps is one of the most trauma-impacted communities in the country. The Clarkston/Refugee community has significant disparity in access to viable employment training and livable wage job opportunities.

This ARP funding, appropriated from District 6 will continue to assist the Refuge Coffee Company training initiative with their capacity to continue to expand mentoring and employment training to the most vulnerable who reside in Clarkston, District 6, DeKalb County, Georgia.

NEED/IMPACT:
This District 6 ARP appropriation will continue to support the efforts of the Refuge Coffee Company employment training initiative to expand and provide critical employment training and resettlement support to the Clarkston/Refugee community as indicated in the previously approved scope. The success of this initiative is indicated and verified by the attached program summary.

According to the spreadsheet provided by Grants Management, this program has maintained compliance and provided the requested documentation.
