PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on May 26, 2020 for an amount not to exceed $5,498,993.50. This contract consists of the construction of the new Community and Senior Center located adjacent to the historic Lithonia School Ruins. This request is to ratify Change Order No. 1 for cost overruns due to excess underground rock, unsuitable soils, the importing of fill for the building pad and retaining wall and due to excessive underground blue granite, civil costs for the rerouting of storm water piping. This work has been completed.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval to ratify Change Order No. 1 with:
Diversified Construction of Georgia, Inc., 2104 Vista Dale Court, Tucker, GA 30084
Amount Not To Exceed: $176,162.50
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
