PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on September 28, 2021 for an amount not to exceed $12,087,102.82. On September 27, 2022, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 for an amount not to exceed $2,051,888.86 to cover increases in costs of labor and materials. This contract consists of patching, milling, and resurfacing of County Roads.
The need for this change order results from: (1) The original scope of work did not include preconstruction striping. (2) Paving limits have been revised for Fieldgreen Drive to include Hairston Road to Redan Road. (3) Striping labor and material costs are estimated to have increased by 57% since contract award. (4) There have been weather delays that have affected the Contractor's performance time.
As a result of the above, this request seeks to increase contract funds and term through December 31, 2023.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 with:
HEH Paving, Inc., 3384 Almand Road, Atlanta, GA 30316
Amount Not To Exceed: $966,056.76
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents
