PURPOSE:
To consider approval of the official retirement and sale of K-9 Hali to his handler for the sum of $1.00 each.
NEED/IMPACT:
K-9 Hali began his service to the County in 2012 and has served his entire career with his handler MPO Charles Turner. Hali has provided outstanding service to the department and to the citizens of DeKalb County and the Metro Atlanta region. Due to his exemplary work record, age, and current medical condition, he has reached a point in his career for retirement.
FISCAL IMPACT:
To transfer ownership of Hali at the cost of $1.00 to his handler.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
