PURPOSE:
To accept emergency subgrant award in the amount of $14,820 awarded by the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council to the County for the benefit of the Magistrate Court’s Misdemeanor Mental Health Court, which is the county’s adult misdemeanor mental health court.
NEED/IMPACT:
The grant funds will be used to continue to support the court’s mission in a collaborative effort with other entities and agencies in the decriminalization of persons living with serious mental illness engaged in the criminal justice system. Through the efforts of the MMHC, these funds will be used to defray costs associated with the MMHC’s operations, and treatment options for the court’s participants.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The county is not required to provide match funds for this award.
