PURPOSE:
To provide $5,000 from 2023 Budget Reserve for Appropriation for District 2 to South Fork Conservancy for a Rainwater Garden at Peavine Creek in Emory Village.
NEED/IMPACT:
Rainwater runoff from the hardscapes in Emory Village have created ongoing erosion issues along the bank of Peavine Creek. The Rainwater Garden will help mitigate adverse impacts of this runoff, capturing the runoff and breaking the force of the water as well as providing filtration before the water enters Peavine Creek.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Transfer to Grant Fund (09130.611250.272.0000.0000) - $5,000
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) - $5,000
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the appropriation of $5,000 from the 2023 Budget Reserve for Appropriation for District 2 to South Fork Conservancy and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents to complete this appropriation.
