PURPOSE:
To appropriate $650,000 from the Tourism Product Development CIP Account to fund various projects.
NEED/IMPACT:
In conjunction with the FY2023 budget, the administration is proposing to appropriate funds from the portion of proceeds from the Hotel/ Motel Tax are set aside for tourism product development.
As part of DeKalb County’s Bicentennial celebration, CEO Thurmond has proposed funding to continue restoration of DeKalb County’s Historic Courthouse and support the Flat Rock Archives and the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Appropriation of $650,000 from account 104027.89110.541401.01.601643 to fund the following projects:
DeKalb Historic Courthouse - $400,000
Flat Rock Archives - $200,000
Callanwolde Fine Arts Center - $50,000
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
