PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on April 12, 2022 for an amount not to exceed $627,165.71. On February 16, 2023, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to extend the contract term for six (6) months to allow time for delays in material manufacturing for proposed traffic signals and weather and temperature delays. This request seeks to increase the contract term through December 31, 2023 and funds to allow for the reconstruction of the roundabouts at the North Decatur Road intersections with Oakdale Road and Springdale Road. The revised design for the center islands include a 4 inch rise (domed central island) plus a 1.5 inch lip at the edges for a 5.5 inch total rise above the surrounding pavement.

Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 with:
SD&C, Inc., 4473 Covington Highway, Decatur, GA 30035
Amount Not To Exceed: $25,035.00
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
