PURPOSE:
Appropriate $100,000 from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) grant funds assigned to Account 105744.63258.521209.01.01.602479 reserved for District 1 to St. Vincent de Paul to provide emergency eviction assistance.
NEED/IMPACT:
This funding will provide stabilization and the prevention of homelessness of DeKalb County individuals or families who are on the verge of eviction due to late rent or mortgage payments.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding will come from District 1 American Rescue Plan (ARP) Funding and be appropriated to St. Vincent de Paul.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the appropriation of $100,000 from American Rescue Plan (ARP) grant funds assigned to Account 105744.63258.521209.01.01.602479 reserved for District 1 to the St. Vincent de Paul and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or his designee to execute Memorandum of Agreements and all necessary documents in a form acceptable to the County Attorney, for the purpose of providing housing assistance.
