PURPOSE:

•To consider approving the FY2023 High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) grant from the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP); and
•To consider accepting up to $276,156.00 from ONDCP and appropriating this amount to the grant fund for spending in compliance with the grantor’s requirements; and
•To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

Since 1988, ONDCP has provided financial assistance to continue the efforts of the multi-agency taskforce targeting high intensity drug areas in DeKalb County.  These funds will be used to pay overtime costs, supplies, and equipment for HIDTA operations.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Match: This grant requires no match contribution.

Recommended Action
