PURPOSE:
This proposed resolution supports the appeal for public art and planting improvements for the courthouse parking deck rehab project and further requests the incorporation of this rehab project’s inclusion in the 2023 DeKalb County mid-year budget cycle.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Board of Commissioners recognizes the importance of incorporating public art and planting improvements into public spaces for the benefit of the community and the environment. Studies have shown that incorporating art and greenery into urban spaces can have numerous benefits, including improving air quality, promoting biodiversity, increasing property values and economic development, improving mental health and well-being.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to the County

To approve the resolution and authorize the COO to execute all necessary actions to support this resolution
