PURPOSE:
Appropriate $100,000.00 from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) grant funds assigned to Account 105744.63258.521209.01.01.602479 reserved for District 1’s Youth Violence Allocation to DeKalb County’s Office of Youth Services Program
NEED/IMPACT:
Since the pandemic, there has been an increase in mental health issues, crime, and lack of positive activities to keep youth productive. DeKalb County’s Office of Youth Services seeks to provide balanced programs and services to deter youth from going down a harmful path and to counteract delinquency, reduce recidivism, and maximize the prospects for youth to become positive, responsible citizens through strategic youth programs and partnerships.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This funding will help the Office of Youth Services to further implement and expand programming
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the appropriations of $100,000 from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) grant funds assigned to Account 105744.63258.521209.01.01.602479 reserved for District 1’s Youth Violence Allocation to DeKalb County’s Office of Youth Services Program and to authorize the Chief Executive Officer or his designee to execute all necessary documents in a form acceptable to the County Attorney
