PURPOSE:
To appropriate District 7 reserves in the amount of $100,000 to Equity For All, Inc. for youth non-violence programming in the DeKalb County School District.
NEED/IMPACT:
As youth violence, shootings, and deaths have increased in DeKalb County, more programming and interventions are needed in DeKalb County Schools. The focus of the youth non-violence program is to train students and their peers on how to solve conflicts peacefully. The youth non-violence program will provide peer education and training, non-violence campaigns, a documentary, and public forums to decrease youth violence and deaths. Youth training will include education about violence, skill building, norm changing, and crisis intervention.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for this allocation of $100,000 is from the District 7 Reserve For Appropriation.

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
