PURPOSE:

To designate $5,000 from the District 5 Reserve for Appropriation Account to Roots Down for the Fruitful Communities Initiative (Maintenance).

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The Fruitful Communities Initiative is a landscaping plan that helps state, county, and local governments, and mid-sized developers establish regenerative food systems through planning and design consulting, training, Productive Urban Landscape (PUL) education, and ongoing community outreach. The maintenance will be conducted at the following locations: Stonecrest Library, Lithonia-Davidson Library, Salem Panola Library, Hairston Crossing Library, and Redan Trotti Library.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

$5,000 from District 5 Reserve for Appropriations Account to Roots Down for the Fruitful Communities Initiative (Maintenance)

Recommended Action

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
