PURPOSE:
To approve the appropriation of $76,500 from the America Rescue Plan grant funds assigned to the account
reserved for a District 7 to the DeKalb County Human Services Department for the development of the DeKalb County E.M.B.A.R.C. Community Youth Farm youth entrepreneurial and training program and all eligible uses to mitigate the negative impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic on DeKalb County families and youth.
NEED/IMPACT:
The DeKalb County E.M.B.A.R.C. Community Youth Farm will engage youth in urban agriculture entrepreneurship, farming, and programming. The program is needed to train youth and develop critical skills, knowledge and preparation for employment and upward mobility to mitigate the negative impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
FISCAL IMPACT:
To appropriate an amount not to exceed $76,500 from POETA Account #105744.63258.521209.01.07.602479 from the American Rescue Plan grant funds reserved for District 7 to the DeKalb County Human Services Department for the development of the DeKalb County E.M.B.A.R.C. Community Youth Farm youth entrepreneurial and training program and all eligible uses to mitigate the negative impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic on DeKalb County families and youth.

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
