PURPOSE:
To accept $1,042,500.00 in penalty assessment fees for years 2021 and 2022 with AMR and establish a dedicated project account for usage. These funds will be re-invested into the provision of enhanced Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
NEED/IMPACT:
A collaborative analysis was completed on Contract number 120006 to provide Emergency Ambulance Services for Dekalb County per the methodology as outlined in Appendix I, Section N: Penalties for Substandard Performance. This resulted in assessment fees in 2021 totaling $456,500.00 and in 2022 for $586,000.00. The total assessment fees equal $1,042,500.00. By establishing a dedicated project account, these funds will be utilized to support enhancing Emergency Medical Services (EMS) transport operations.
