PURPOSE:
To consider approving the Cooperation Agreement with the City of Dunwoody to be included as a part of the HUD Urban County designation for DeKalb County for the three-year period beginning January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2026.
NEED/IMPACT:
The County is currently in the HUD Urban County requalification period for years 2024 through 2026. During this period, the County must notify each included unit of general local government of its right to elect to be included in or excluded from participation in the Urban County during each requalification period.
The City of Dunwoody has elected to be included as a part of the Urban County designation for DeKalb County for the three-year period beginning January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2026.

Recommended Action
To approve the County entering into the Cooperation Agreement with the City of Dunwoody in a form approved by the County Attorney and to include the City of Dunwoody as a part of the Urban County designation for DeKalb County for the three-year period beginning January 1, 2024, through December 31, 2026.
