PURPOSE:
To consider acceptance of the 2022 Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in the amount of $357,827.27: and match funds of 10% in the amount of $35,782.73 for a total grant of $393,610.00
NEED/IMPACT:
The purpose of the Assistance to Firefighter grant program is to protect the health and safety of the public and firefighter personnel against fire and fire related hazards. This grant award will cover the purchase of a fire training structure and implementation of a full psychological and behavioral health program to include development, training, prevention, and wellness checks.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The grant requires a 10% match totaling $35,782.73.
