PURPOSE:
To approve the agreement between DeKalb County Government and Park Pride, Inc. to provide services as outlined in the agreement to the Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs department for the County’s park system. The term of the agreement is July 2023 thru Jun 2026.
NEED/IMPACT:
Park Pride Atlanta, Inc., a nonprofit organization, has a successful history of developing and sustaining Friends of Parks groups, organizing community park cleanups, encouraging and managing private financial support in the form of annual grants, and enhancing the quality and enjoyment of parks. Park Pride has successfully worked in DeKalb County parks since 2010 and has been instrumental in the creation of over 48 Friends of Parks groups. The partnership approach has proven to encourage the surrounding communities to become more involved in volunteer projects in their neighborhood parks.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Total cost of contract not to exceed $440,000 to be funded from Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs operating budget

To approve the agreement between DeKalb County Government and Park Pride, Inc.; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
