PURPOSE:
To authorize the sale of a permanent easement of 0.01 acres of County owned property located at 4280 Glenwood Rd SE, Decatur GA 30032 to Georgia Power Company to install a standard transmission line as part of the Austin Drive - Morrow 115 KV (OHGW) Phase 1A & 1B Project (GA Power LIMS project 2017118345 Parcel 195A).
NEED/IMPACT:
Georgia Power is currently attempting to acquire property needed to install a standard transmission line at 4280 Glenwood Rd SE. As part of that project, Georgia Power is seeking to purchase 0.01 acres of County owned property in fee simple.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The $550.00 received by the County for the easement will be used by RPCA at Belvedere Park.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the sale of a permanent easement of 0.01 acres of County owned property located at 4280 Glenwood Rd SE and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to complete the project.
