PURPOSE:
To confirm the appointment of Mr. C. David Moody, Jr. to the Development Authority of DeKalb County, the Private Hospital Authority, and the Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly Authority.
NEED/IMPACT:
The purpose of the Development Authority of DeKalb County is to develop and promote commerce, industry, and employment opportunities for the public good and general welfare of DeKalb County. It is imperative that the membership of the Development Authority of DeKalb County is enhanced with executives and leaders of DeKalb County so that this Authority’s purposes are effectively maintained and managed.
This appointment is for Post 6 of the Development Authority, which will start upon confirmation and expire on December 31, 2024. Appointment to the Private Hospital Authority will start upon confirmation and expire on December 31, 2024. Appointment to the Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly Authority will start upon confirmation and expire on December 31, 2028.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to the County.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Confirm the appointment of Mr. C. David Moody, Jr. to the Development Authority of DeKalb County, the Private Hospital Authority, and the Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly Authority and clarify that removal or resignation from the Development Authority of DeKalb County is a simultaneous and automatic removal or resignation from the Private Hospital Authority and the Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly Authority.
