PURPOSE:
To consider reserving $100,000.00 from SPLOST Category 1D - Transportation Enhancements for design and construction of a mid-block pedestrian crossing on Flowers Road; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to facilitate this work.
NEED/IMPACT:
Mercer University students frequently cross Flowers Road in an area where there is no protected crossing. This project will add a mid-block crossing with rectangular rapid flashing beacons. Some related sidewalk and ADA ramp improvements will also be included.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$100,000.00 from SPLOST line item 1D - Transportation Enhancements
