PURPOSE:
To allocate an amount not to exceed $1,500 from the District 3 Reserved for appropriation funds to help support, educate, honor, and celebrate the Beacon Hill Black Alliance for Human Rights ("Beacon Hill") - Pan African Festival.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Beacon Hill Black Alliance for Human Rights Pan African Festival for Decatur’s Bicentennial Celebration offers an opportunity to both educate attendees on the history of Beacon Hill and to recognize and celebrate this year’s theme “Liberations Rising: Remember, Resist, Rejoice!”
The festival will give individuals and families an opportunity to come and be a part of the arts community in an outdoor setting and share in the experience of the rich African heritage while fostering unity and celebrating the spirit of liberation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Transfer to Grant Fund (09130.611250.272.0000.0000 amount not to exceed- $1,500
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) - amount not to exceed $1,500
