PURPOSE:

Consists of repairing the rusting and deteriorated leachate tank at Seminole Road Landfill and installation of a target board on the tanks. The inside of the leachate tank is deteriorating which is causing buildups of solids at bottom of the tank. This is hazardous to the citizens and a violation of the industrial pretreatment discharge permit. Neglecting the deterioration of the tanks can pose risk to public health and the safety of the citizens.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Recommend ratification of emergency repairs to the Seminole Road Landfill leachate tank with:

 

Fisher Tank Company, 104 Fisher Tank Dr., Bateburg-Leesville, SC 29070

 

Amount Not To Exceed: $124,800.00
