NEED/IMPACT:
Commissioner Terry withdrew agenda 2023-0553 on August 8, 0224.
The agenda item was withdrawn to make revisions to the current purpose of the PWI Committee on the DeKalb County website: PWI has the authority to handle all subjects regarding matters of countywide public works services and the effective provision of departments associated allocation of costs.
Commissioner Terry will be collaborating with the Law Department and PWI Committee members to add additional language to include the authority over all subjects regarding Environmental Justice matters including mitigating exposure from hazardous waste, resource extraction, and other land uses from which marginalized communities do not receive benefits.
