PURPOSE:
The allocation will assist seniors and disabled homeowners with critical home repairs managed by DeKalb County Community Development.
NEED/IMPACT:
This funding is being provided to aid District 3 Seniors and disabled homeowners who need critical home repairs. This additional funding is to assist more Seniors based on the applications received. Each applicant could be awarded up to $1000 for home repairs. The administration and implementation of the program will be managed by Community Development.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Transfer to Non-Departmental Fund 250, Community Development Department amount not to exceed $20,000
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) amount not to exceed $20,000

Recommend that funds be approved in the amount not to exceed $20,000 for the District 3 CARES: District 3 Senior Home Repair Program.
