PURPOSE:
To allocate an amount not to exceed $15,000 to the 100 Black Men DeKalb County Chapter from District 3 Reserved for Appropriation Funds for Youth Safety and Violence Prevention programs.
NEED/IMPACT:
The funding is needed to combat violent crime including behavior health and mental health services; services to improve youth employment opportunities; services to address educational disparities in disproportionately-impacted communities; community violence intervention programs; evidence-based practices like focused deterrence, street outreach, violence interrupters and hospital-based violence intervention models; wraparound services such as behavioral therapy, trauma recovery, education and job training
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Other Miscellaneous Payments (09110.573099.100.0000.0000) - $15,000
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
