PURPOSE:
In an effort to alleviate the continued back log of Commission District related ARP funding requests requiring an intense vetting through the DeKalb County ARP Work Group, this agenda seeks Board of Commission approval to reappropriate $200,000 of D6 ARP funding from tranche 2 so that it can be allocated to District 6 reserve for appropriations and distributed to qualified district organizations and programs that are providing resources and services to those impacted and recovering from the impact of Covid.
NEED/IMPACT:
The DeKalb County Board of Commission sincerely appreciate the Administration and Departments that have coordinated to support, vet, draft, and process Commission district ARP approved funding requests. We further understand the overload to the respective staff assigned to the DeKalb County ARP Work Group. In a respectful effort to mitigate the back log from additional workload on top of daily responsibilities, this agenda item requests approval to re-appropriate a portion of the balance of tranche 2 District 6 ARP appropriations and to be allocated to the District 6 Reserve for Appropriations.
This funding will be allocated to qualified and approved organizations and programs that provide resources or services to DeKalb County citizens.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No additional fiscal impact to the County. This $200,000 reappropriation of tranche 2 will be transferred from the District 6 ARP appropriation to ARP General Fund and re-allocated to the District 6 2023 Reserve for Appropriations.
