PURPOSE:
To appropriate District 7 reserves in the amount of $10,000 from the Reserve for Appropriation to the Pink Frog Foundation to assist with funding for breast cancer awareness programming for DeKalb County residents.
NEED/IMPACT:
The $10,000 appropriation will be used to assist with funding breast cancer awareness programming that will include a one-day expo to expose college students, faculty, staff and Dekalb residents with information about breast self-exams, early detection and annual mammograms. The Pink Frog Foundation will collaborate with Dekalb County District 7, area physicians and agencies to provide mammograms and critical information regarding breast cancer. In addition, funds will be used to provide social services support to individuals while they are undergoing breast cancer surgery, chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The $10,000 Appropriation is from the District 7 Reserve For Appropriation.

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
