PURPOSE:
To approve the acquisition of 4345 Cowan Road, Tucker, Georgia 30084 (Tax Parcel Id No. 18-214-04-017) for the construction of Fire Station 5 and allocate $873,000.00 and associated costs to fund the acquisition of the approximately 2.4 acres of property.
NEED/IMPACT:
The County will acquire this property to house a Fire Station.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Under SPLOST Category 2A, $873,000.00 and associated costs such as due diligence and closing costs.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve (1) Acquisition of 4345 Cowan Road, Tucker, Georgia 30084 (Tax Parcel Id No. 18-214-04-017) and allocate $873,000.00 and associated costs to fund the acquisition of the property, subject to completion of all due diligence; (2) Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute a Purchase & Sale Agreement in a form acceptable to the County Attorney or her designee; and (3) Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents in connection with completing this real estate transaction.
