PURPOSE:
The National Coalition of 100 Black Women has the mission to advocate on behalf of black women and girls to promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, educations, and economic empowerment. This agenda item is to provide support to the local Decatur-DeKalb Chapter
NEED/IMPACT:
The funding allocated will assist with providing scholarships, youth mentorship for girls and other initiatives of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women in DeKalb County.
FISCAL IMPACT:
To appropriate $10,000 from the District 5 Reserve For Appropriations to the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Decatur-DeKalb Chapter, Inc.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
