This request seeks to ratify an emergency purchase for cutting, baling, and removal of hay from 300 acres of hay fields at the Pole Bridge Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility (AWTF). This request also seeks to maintain services through September 30, 2024 in order to remain compliant with Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) regulations. Awarded to Mark L. Farms, LLC. Amount Not To Exceed: $110,250.00.

PURPOSE:
Hay fields must be kept at a minimum level and in accordance with requirements set by the Georgia EPD. An emergency request was approved on August 4, 2023 to perform emergency cutting, baling, and removal of hay from 300 acres of hay fields at the Pole Bridge AWTF. This purchase will also covers services needed through September 30, 2024 to allow time for a new procurement process to be completed. This request seeks to ratify the emergency purchase.
