PURPOSE:
To Allocate an Amount Not to exceed $30,000 from the District 3 ARP Funds to the South DeKalb Improvement Association Education, Inc. (SDIAE) to expand the STEM and robotics program for educational and enrichment services for students due to academic gap impacted by COVID-19 pandemic.
NEED/IMPACT:
The funds are being appropriated to help the many families within District 3 that have experienced adverse impact and require emergency assistance during the pandemic to and other uses applicable for ARP funds under the law.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding will come from District 3 ARP Award from POETA Account # 106388.63230.602778.01.03.602778 (amount not to exceed) $30,000 and appropriated to the following agency:
• South DeKalb Improvement Association Education, Inc. - $30,000
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
