PURPOSE:
Awarded by BOC on June 22, 2021 as a cooperative agreement in an amount not to exceed $5,249,250.00. This contract consists of piggybacking off the competitively let City of Eastpoint annual contract for the performance of water valve condition assessments and evaluations. These services include locating, accessing, and clean-out of the valve structures; the collection of over 30 valve attributes and capture of a sub-foot GPS locate; and the documentation of necessary work orders that will allow for valve operability. These services will also include locating and collection of attributes for fire hydrants; capture of a sub-foot GPS locate; and the documentation of necessary work orders. Due to recruiting difficulties for new personnel and crew productivity, additional time will be needed to obtain an adequate workforce to complete the project. Approval will assist in the continued completion of existing services in the development of a valve assessment and data documentation program.
