Consists of construction of mini-roundabouts at the North Decatur Road intersections with Springdale Road and Oakdale Road, including related curb, ramps, and sidewalks. This request is for additional SPLOST funding to cover the cost of installed quantities that have exceeded the estimated quantities of the project. Awarded to: SD&C, Inc. PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on April 12, 2022, for an amount not to exceed $627,165.71. On February 16, 2023 the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to extend the contract term for six (6) month to allow time for delays in material manufacturing for proposed traffic signals and weather and temperature delays. On May 9, 2023 the BOC approved Change Order No. 2 for additional pricing to reconstruct the roundabouts at the North Decatur Road intersections with Oakdale Road and Springdale Road and to allow for a six-months extension of the contract term. The revised design for the center islands include a 4 inch rise (domed central island) plus a 1.5 inch lip at the edges for a 5.5 inch total rise above the surrounding pavement. This request is for additional funding to cover the cost of installed quantities that have exceeded the estimated quantities of the project.
