PURPOSE:
Allocation not to exceed $10,000 of Youth Violence Prevention Discretionary General Funds to Biplane Rides Over Atlanta for PDK Youth Aviation Program.
NEED/IMPACT:
PDK Youth Aviation Program facilitates weekly sessions, providing participants with foundational knowledge in aviation, aircraft maintenance, and aircraft ownership. Students earn flight instructions and airport tours, receive guest lectures from various “partners” within airport operations such as control tower tours, Airport Ops, aircraft maintenance facilities, and other areas generally closed to the public.
FISCAL IMPACT
Allocation not to exceed $10,000 from the Youth Violence Prevention Discretionary General Funds to Biplane Rides Over Atlanta.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
