PURPOSE:
To appropriate $25,000 from the 2023 District 2 Reserve for Appropriation funds to the DeKalb County Public Library for ebooks/eaudiobooks.
NEED/IMPACT:
In addition to traditional library book collections and literacy programming, DeKalb County Public Library has expanded online and audio offerings to citizens. This allocation from District 2 will be used to purchase more ebooks and eaudiobooks for the library for access by all residents.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following accounts by the amount indicated below:
Library - Administration- General Fund - DeKalb County Library Contribution (06810.571015.100.0000.0000) - $25,000
Fund Reserves - Unincorporated Fund - Budgetary Reserves (09610.579013.272.0000.0000) - $25,000
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) - $25,000
Fund Reserves - General Fund - Budgetary Reserves (09610.579013.100.0000.0000) - $25,000

To approve the appropriation of $25,000 from the 2023 District 2 Reserve for Appropriation funds to the DeKalb County Public Library for ebooks/eaudiobooks and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
