PURPOSE:
To appropriate $60,000 from the 2023 District 2 Reserve for Appropriation Funds to Lifeline Animal Project for Outside Emergency Veterinary Care for the DeKalb County Animal Shelter animals.
NEED/IMPACT:
DeKalb County Animal Shelter has enormous outside emergency veterinary care expenses for shelter animals. This District 2 appropriation will assist with the fees associated with use of emergency veterinary care or specialist care that the DeKalb Animal Shelter does not provide.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Other Miscellaneous Payments (09130.573099.272.0000.0000) - $60,000
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) - $60,000
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the appropriation of $60,000 from the 2023 District 2 Reserve for Appropriation Funds to Lifeline Animal Project for Outside Emergency Veterinary Care for the DeKalb County Animal Shelter Animals and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
