PURPOSE:
To allocate an amount not to exceed $81,000 to different community- based organizations from District 3 Reserved for Appropriation Funds for Youth Safety and Violence Prevention programs.
NEED/IMPACT:
The funding is needed to combat violent crime including behavioral health and mental health services. The students will create a forum and platforms to bring education and awareness around topics such as opioids and substance abuse to improve youth engagement and services to address educational disparities in disproportionately impacted communities.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - General Fund - Other Miscellaneous Payments (09110.573099.100.0000.0000) - $81,000
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
