PURPOSE:
Approval of Amendment No. 1 of the Callanwolde Foundation, Inc. Rental Agreement with DeKalb County Government extending the lease of the property at 980 Briarcliff Road, N.E. Atlanta, GA an additional thirty years ending December 31, 2064.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Callanwolde Foundation, Inc seeks to extend the current rental agreement with DeKalb County Government for the use of the property at 980 Briarcliff Road known as Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. The rental agreement, dated 02/28/2014 is for a term of twenty years, expiring 12/30/2034. This amendment will extend the rental agreement 30 years with an end date of 12/31/2064. The extension of the rental agreement will allow for better long-term planning and improve the Foundation’s position in its fundraising efforts.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No impact the 2024 operating budget
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve Amendment No. 1 of the Callanwolde Foundation, Inc. Rental Agreement with DeKalb County Government extending the lease of the property at 980 Briarcliff Road, N.E. Atlanta, GA an additional thirty years ending December 31, 2064; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to completion.
