PURPOSE:

To consider approving the FY2021 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) Subgrant Agreement, through the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC), to receive project equipment; and

To consider accepting equipment purchased by ARC on behalf of the DeKalb Emergency Management Agency (EMA) in the amount of $80,000; and

To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

This Subgrant Agreement governs the use of equipment provided by UASI, through the ARC, to assist the DeKalb EMA in preventing, protecting, responding to, and recovering from threats or acts of terrorism and to build capabilities that will support emergency preparedness in the region.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:
