PURPOSE:
DWM is requesting additional funding to the GDOT PI M006326 resurface State Route 10 from State Route 8 to the Gwinnett County Line improvement that is associated with Watershed Management in the amount of $78,143. GDOT's original quote submitted to DWM dated March 17, 2022 stated the DWM's portion being $706,000 however some items were omitted in the original agreement. Additional work was resubmitted for the resurfacing and water and sewer installation/adjustments associated with State Route 10 from State Route 8 to the Gwinnett County Line project.

NEED/IMPACT:
The GDOT projects P.I. No. M006326 resurface State Route 10 from State Route 8 to the Gwinnett County Line in DeKalb County, Georgia. The Department of Watershed Management has existing utilities within the construction limits that are in conflict with the proposed work or need to be replaced due to age. Therefore, the County entered into a Contact Item Agreement with GDOT to include installations/adjustments for M006326 resurface State Route 10 from State Route 8 to the Gwinnett County Line in DeKalb County resurfacing project to prevent construction delays, minimized impact to adjacent property owners and the traveling public. The County must agree to pay the estimated cost of completing the work; the exact payment amount will be based on unit bid prices.
