PURPOSE:

To apply quarterly and accept up to 40 boxes of Naloxone to be utilized by Fire Rescue with an estimated annual value not to exceed $12,160.00

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The State Department of Health, Office of EMS and Trauma permits EMS agencies throughout the State to submit request quarterly for Naloxone as a supplement to their existing inventory. This agenda item seeks approval for the department to apply each quarter of 2024.  Naloxone is used for the emergency treatment of known or suspected opioid overdoses.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

No financial impact.
