PURPOSE:
To appropriate $45,000 from the 2024 District 2 Reserve for Appropriation funds to the State of DeKalb Animals Initiative.
NEED/IMPACT:
The inaugural State of DeKalb Animals Address and education placemaking initiatives in each district throughout DeKalb County will be produced by Commissioner Michelle Long Spears and the District 2 team in collaboration with each District Commissioner and the administration. Funding will support the State of DeKalb Animals address on April 10, 2024 and also 7 placemaking events in each district over the next year.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Other Miscellaneous Payments (09130.573099.272.0000.0000) - $45,000
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) - $45,000
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the appropriation of $45,000 from the 2024 District 2 Reserve for Appropriation funds to the State of DeKalb Animals Initiative and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
