PURPOSE:
The purpose of this agenda item is to allocate funds to the Level Up Program at Lithonia Middle School , administered by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta
NEED/IMPACT:
Level Up was created in response to the needs expressed by principals, counselors, and administrators for trained positive adult role models to provide consistent and direct mentoring for students who are exhibiting classroom disruptions, student conflicts and other behaviors at unprecedented levels. The program provides one-to-one and group mentoring, based on the needs of the students.
FISCAL IMPACT:
$100,000 from District 5 American Rescue Plan Reserve For Appropriation Funding, Tranche II
