PURPOSE:
To pledge funding for Callanwolde Fine Arts Center Capital Campaign.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Callanwolde Foundation has requested county funds to support a capital campaign for the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. The request is for $2,750,000 for construction of the Pottery Building, Flex Art Building, additional parking, and a staircase connecting the lower parking lot to the upper lot, and $1,500,000 for deferred maintenance on the Mansion, Carriage House, and Conservatory.
This agenda item pledges to provide the requested funding from various funding sources over the next five years.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding will be appropriated from tourism product development funds, SPLOST, or other capital funds. The total impact will be $4,250,000 over five years.
