PURPOSE:
To implement regulations to prohibit the County from contracting with businesses that fail to address discrimination.
NEED/IMPACT:
The proposed regulations would prohibit discrimination by contractors doing business with the County against their employees working on County contracts and would authorize penalties, including cancellation of County contracts, for entities that fail to address such discrimination.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to the County.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To adopt the attached Resolution implementing regulations to prohibit contracting with businesses that fail to address discrimination in accordance with Attachment A hereto.
