This contract consists of the widening of Rockbridge Road from Allgood to Rowland Road to allow for the construction of sidewalks and bike lanes. Awarded to E. R. Snell Contractor, Inc. PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on July 23, 2019 for an amount not to exceed $3,223,197.45. On March 9, 2021, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 for an amount not to exceed $26,174.72 for the lowering of two (2) sanitary sewer laterals that are in conflict with the proposed drain system and to extend the contract term. On November 9, 2021, the BOC approved Change Order No. 2 extending the contract term for an additional six (6) months due to utility relocation delays. This request is for additional funding due to the market price increases for asphalt stone, and due to continued delays in the utility relocation to cover overhead, traffic control maintenance and erosion control. As a result of the delays, an additional six (6) months is also requested to complete the project.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 3 through December 31, 2022 with:
E. R. Snell Contractor, Inc., 1785 Oak Road, Snellville, GA 30078
Amount Not To Exceed: $194,499.40
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
