CO - Change Order No. 4 to Contract No. 1119346 Design Build Services for Scott Candler Water Treatment Plant - High Services Pump Station (HSPS) Header & Transfer Pumps Replacement: for use by the Department of Watershed Management (DWM). This contract consists of providing design and construction services to remove and replace the transfer pump station’s main intake header, which is showing severe signs of corrosion, and to include the removal and replacement of four (4) small transfer pumps with two (2) large variable frequency drive (VFD) transfer pumps for increased efficiency and capacity of the water distribution system. This request is to increase the contract term through December 31, 2022 to allow for the completion of existing scope of work. Awarded to Reeves Young, LLC. CONTRACT TERM INCREASE ONLY.

PURPOSE:
Awarded by BOC on August 14, 2018 for amount not to exceed $3,961,915.00. On December 10, 2019, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to increase the scope of work to allow for the substitution of two (2) Danfoss VFD pumps with the purchase of two (2) Allen Bradley VFD pumps and funding by an amount not to exceed $99,482.27. On November 10, 2020, the BOC approved Change Order No. 2 to increase the contract term through December 31, 2021. On August 3, 2021, Change Order No. 3 was approved to increase the contract performance time through December 31, 2021. This request will allow the contractor the needed additional time to continue in the completion of the commissioning phase. Approval of this request will assist in the continued maintenance and improvement efforts at the Scott Candler Water Treatment Plant.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 4 with:
Reeves Young, LLC, 45 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard NW, Suite 200, Sugar Hill, GA 30518
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
